Cold Turkey: SmartPhone no more

Well here goes my little experiment. I’m giving up my Smartphone and going back to one of the most attractive mobiles ever made the T28s (IMHO).
It has a week long battery life and can not only be used as a phone, but can also send text messages too! It’s a third the weight and size of an iPhone, and its 15 years older; progress in reverse?

I’m an observer of life and a watcher of people, sounds creepy, but I am a full-time professional photographer so it’s actually my job.

Everywhere I look people are buried in their phones absorbed in their online life and completely ignoring what’s actually happening in front of them.



When I take my 18month old daughter to the local indoor play arena, its now something akin to “Lord of the Flies” as kids run amok with scant attention from their parents hypnotised by their phones.

So a week into my iPhone fast and all’s going well; my mobile phone is now used for its intended purpose as a phone that’s mobile.
