The George at Rye - Suzy and David's wedding day

The George in Rye is beautiful and stylish place to hold your wedding day. Situated in the lovely town of Rye, just over the border in Sussex and a stone's throw from the famous beach at Camber Sands. The interior and decor of the George is great and the rooms that I have seen when shooting the preparation shots have been beautifully decorated and appointed.

The Ballroom is large, grand and well lit and above all very stylish. The adjoining bar is great too and of a good size for your guests and has a balcony that overlooks the Rye High Street.

Suzy and David's lovely wedding in the beautiful town of Rye at the George started with just a few preparation shots in Suzy's room together with her two children , Lola and Levi. The lovely hotel room is on the ground floor and directly looks out onto the Rye Street, so Suzy and all could watch their guests ( from behind netted windows of course) make their way up to the Town Hall.

We then popped up the road, literally, to get some shots of the boys and then back out onto the street to take some photos of Suzy and her kids coming up the road. The service was moving and very funny with some excellent readings and a full Shakespearean sonnet performed by David's brother, from memory; now that's impressive.

After the service everybody gathered for a few group shots outside the town hall and the wonderful Rex the Town Crier announced, very loudly, to the town the newlyweds. Rex then lead the procession down the hill to the George where drinks were waiting for Suzy and David. Then all up to the bar for drinks, canapés and conversation. After the meal in the ballroom we took them ot and about in the streets of Rye for some more intimate portraits of them.

A fantastic wedding with a truly in-love couple. Lots of fun and emotion too ... a great day and glad to have been a small part of it.
